Do you know about VLC? Yeah, all digital device users know. The VLC media player is a free and open-source cross-platform software developed by the VideoLAN project. Because it is open-source that's why people use and also contribute to it. If you just remove contributions then nothing will remain behind in VLC code.
But what is that crazy thing donut?
Do you know about the toolbox? Every person has a set of different tools in different fields. Like doctor always has stethoscopes, injections, medicine, etc. So here .Net is a framework for programmers that contains yummy libraries and development tools. Which can prevent us from extra coding and extra tension? .Net framework is always installed by default in windows. See here Dotnet.
What is Vlc.Dotnet?
Vlc.Dotnet uses libvlc that is provided by VideoLAN. Vlc.Dotnet is an implementation of a VLC media player in .Net. Means you can use VLC in .Net framework. As .Net is easy and simple, anyone can learn, modify or do whatever he/she wants.
Why use Vlc.Dotnet?
The difference between VLC and vlc.dotnet is just about easiness. VLC is made in C language. So persons like me can't understand hard languages like C. So for developing a media player, I use vlc.dotnet in C#/VB. Both are easy and understandable. And also using Vlc.Dotnet wrapper, You will have to code less and can customize controls as you wish.
And also vlc.dotnet has NuGet packages. So it will be now easier than before. You can reference vlc.dotnet using NuGet packages in Visual studio and just start coding.
Limitations of Vlc.Dotnet?
Vlc.dotnet currently supports windows for specific regions only including Winforms and WPF. So if you wanted to use VLC on other platforms as well then use libvlcsharp.
Hold on tight
The next parts will be released soon. If I have skipped something then please walk up to me. Thanks
